Justin Bibis is a Pakistani musical pop duo consisting of sisters Sania Sohail (also known as Saania Tabaydar) and Muqadas Jandad (also known as Muqqadas Tabaydar). They first achieved international internet stardom in 2015 before successfully transitioning into mainstream professional musicians, most notably performing on Coke Studio Pakistan.
Rise to Fame
- Viral Breakthrough: In February 2015, a video of the teenage sisters singing Justin Bieber’s hit song “Baby” went viral online.
- Phonetic Learning: Despite having no formal education and speaking almost no English, they memorised the song entirely by listening to it 70 times and writing the lyrics phonetically in Urdu.
- Kitchen Beats: Their initial viral performance was backed uniquely by their mother keeping time with a kitchen vessel.
- Cricket Anthem: Following their viral success, they were quickly featured in the ICC World Cup 2015 anthem, “Phir Se Game Uthadein”.
